Fraud Alert

We all know we should review our bank statements frequently. Sometimes your review is monthly when you receive your Statement, or, if you utilize Online Banking your review is probably more frequent! These are great habits, but with Check fraud on the rise did you realize you should review and verify your checks as well? Even though a check you wrote appears on you Statement for the correct amount, the payee may have been altered, so someone else got your money not the person or business you intended to pay!

The best way to prevent and/or catch this type of fraud activity is to verify your checks when you review your Statement! If you see something unusual, call or contact us immediately.
