American Plus Bank acquired the Long Beach branch of United Fidelity Bank, F.S.B., doing Business as International City Bank (“ICB”). The conversion was completed on May 2nd, 2025.
The Bank posted net income of $2.96 million or $0.84 per share for Q2 2025 compared with net income of $3.16 million or $0.90 per share for Q1 2025 and $2.53 million or $0.71 per share for Q2 2024, respectively. The unfavorable variance to the previous quarter was primarily attributed to higher provision for credit losses on loans and off-balance sheet liabilities of $1.0 million and higher non-interest expenses of $0.2 million due to acquisition of ICB, partially offset by a higher net interest income of $1.0 million. The increase in earnings per share was due to higher net interest income of $3.1 million, partially offset by higher provision for credit losses of $0.9 million and higher non-interest expenses of $0.5 million primarily attributed to acquisition of ICB, and lower net interest income mainly due to gain on transferring a non-performing CRE loan to OREO of $1.1 million in the prior year.
Total Assets increased by $177.9 million to $872.5 million, 25.6% growth from $694.6 million on June 30, 2024. For the quarter, assets increased $89.1 million.

American Plus Bank entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Long Beach, California, branch of United Fidelity Bank, F.S.B., doing business as International City Bank (“ICB”). This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone for American Plus Bank as it expands its footprint within the Los Angeles Area and enters the thriving Long Beach Market. The transaction was approved by the OCC, and the conversion is expected to be completed on May 2nd, 2025.
The Bank posted net income of $3.16 million or $0.90 per share for 1Q2025 compared with net income of $2.57 million or $0.73 per share for 4Q2024 and $3.05 million or $0.85 per share for 1Q 2024, respectively. The favorable variance to the previous quarter was primarily attributed to lower interest expenses on deposits and lower provision for credit losses. American Plus Bank entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Long Beach, California, branch of United Fidelity Bank, F.S.B., doing business as International City Bank (“ICB”). This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone for American Plus Bank as it expands its footprint within the Los Angeles Area and enters the thriving Long Beach market. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2025.
The Bank successfully repurchased $1.5 million or 45,085 shares of common stocks from existing shareholders in October 2024.
The Bank posted net income of $2.57 million or $0.73 per share for 4Q2024 compared with net income of $3.66 million or $1.02 per share for 3Q2024 and $2.57 million or $0.72 per share for 4Q 2023, respectively. The unfavorable variance to the previous quarter was primarily attributed to higher provision for credit losses due to loan growth in the fourth quarter, higher advisory and legal expenses for the acquisition of ICB, and lower distributions from public welfare investments compared to the previous quarter, partially offset by higher net interest income. The Bank posted net income of $3.7 million or $1.02 per share for 3Q2024 compared with net income of $2.5 million or $0.71 per share for 2Q2024 and $3.4 million or $0.94 per share for 3Q2023, respectively. The favorable variances to the previous quarter and the third quarter of last year were mainly due to higher net interest income and non-interest income. The higher non-interest income was attributed to a $1.3 million distribution from public welfare investments.
Year to date net income is $9.2 million or $2.58 per share compared with $8.9 million or $2.50 per share as of September 30, 2023. The unfavorable variance to the previous quarter was primarily attributed to a gain on the transfer of a CRE loan to OREO of $1.09 million realized in the prior quarter, partially offset by a higher net interest income of $209,000 and a lower noninterest expense of $274,000. The unfavorable variance to last year was mainly due to lower net interest income, partially offset by lower noninterest expenses.

The unfavorable variance to the previous quarter was mainly due to higher provision for loan losses. The unfavorable variance to last year is mainly due to the same reasons.
